Joe Average - Modelling & Rigging
2. März 2010
Time is hunting me again. After some busy days, i finally got some spare time to continue with my short.
i started modelling out “Joe Average” - one of my two characters. Not final textured yet, but i just have to get the rig done first. As it´s my first time rigging a character, it´s little time consuming.

and some pictures from the rig and the user data controllers:
Hope to get Joe into motion as soon as possible. Exciting time …

The Big Step (Working Title)
7. Februar 2010
“The Big Step”. I started working on an animated short movie about 2 weeks ago. The short will probably be named “The Big Step” in regard to the storyline, but it will be a Big Step for me aswell. I am working as a 2D/3D Motion Graphics Artist for quite a while now, but i ´ve never done such a big project in the past. I will have to learn a lot to get this short movie happen, but i will!
I´m sending in this short to the CGTalk.com Challenge “B-Movie”. As for that the story will be kinda b-movie-like aswell.
Average Joe sits on his sofa, watching TV. Breaking news on the screen about landing UFOs. One of this will land in his garden, and there the fight between the alien and Joe will start and probably even end.
I started out modelling Joe´s home from time to time in the last 14 days, here and there some hours. So here´s what i came up with so far:
Ode an die Freude - Schiller Doping.
10. Januar 2010
Here´s a new project i realized with a Friend of mine.
We shot this spec infomercial for a course at the university he studies at.
Topic : Doping!
The story is about Friedrich Schiller, a well known german writer, who was used to sniff at rotten apples to increase his spirit while writing.
director: Markus Braun
DOP(camera +onset lightning)/ Cutter/ Grading: Alexander Lehnert
We shot it in about 5 hours, 5 more for Postproduction.
It was shot on a Canon 7D with Canon lenses: 50mm T1.4, 16-35 mm T2.8, with a little 800 W janiero lightcase

Today i started to clean up my HDDs, to get some extra space. A Little While ago i posted here about my first try to matchmove a shot to entry a contest.
Unfortunatly i ran out of time and did not get the time to finish/clean up the shot 100%.
Here´s what i came up with. Tracked in PfTrack, 3d Environment in Cinema 4D and Compositing done in Nuke.
